Public Tours are Saturdays (9:30 am - 5:00 pm) & Sundays (1:30 pm - 5:00 pm) 

Pace Homebuilders present Greenhaven - Atlanta’s newest model for green building and sustainable design.  Located in Chelsea Landing, the first eco-friendly neighborhood community in East Cobb County, Greenhaven will carry the US Green Building Council’s LEED for Homes (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification and showcase the latest in green building techniques, sustainable design, state-of-the-art-technology and energy efficiency.

Greenhaven will be open Thursdays - Saturdays through August 9th and admission is FREE!

The Go Green Expo is coming to Atlanta this weekend at the Cobb Galleria Centre.  Friday will feature seminars geared toward businesses including green building.  Saturday and Sunday's activities are geared towards consumers including greening your home, green living, conservation, residential green building and green jobs.  There will be over 200 vendors featuring green products and services, live music, children's activities, hybrid car test drives, food samplings and so much more! 

Midtown Market Now Open

Did you know that there is a weekly open air market in the heart of Midtown?  The Midtown Market features local artisans, antiques, handcrafted items, edibles and much more.  The Market is open every Friday night from 5:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m., Saturdays 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Farmer's Market), Saturday evenings from 5:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. and Sundays from noon to sunset.  The market is located at 811 Peachtree Street, between 5th & 6th Streets. 

The Midtown Market is produced by the Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces.  They have other outdoor markets across Atlanta including Atlantic Station, Decatur, Kirkwood and coming soon to Stone Mountain and Sandy Springs.

The Greenest House is One Already Built

Do you live in an older home?  If so, the Decatur Old House Fair is a must see this weekend.  The fair will include vendors, seminars and workshops for rehabilitating, furnishing and maintaining your older home.

The Green House

Brock Built just completed it's Green House, and it is open for tours.  The Green House was built to demonstrate green building and the use of environmentally friendly and energy efficient building materials.  This home will lower energy bills, lower maintenance and repair costs and even be better for the future homeowner's health.  Even more importantly, the house was built as a fundraiser for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.  The house will be auctioned off to the highest bidder with a minimum starting bid of $350,000.00. 

The house is located in Brock Built's master planned community, West Highlands.  West Highlands is the former home of Perry Homes - a subsidized housing neighborhood.  Brock Built has been able to reuse this land to build a wonderful, master planned community in hot West Midtown. 

The Green House address is 1536 Craftsman Drive which is directly off of Perry Blvd.
